The image to the right demonstrates another advantage of importing 3D model files. The ability to compare the simulated part with the 3D model. The color green indicates the surface will be cut in tolerance. The color red indicates more material will need to be removed from the surface and the color yellow indicates too much material will be removed from the surface. This is an excellent feature that helps the programmer identify and correct errors before a physical part is even produced.
